For decades Bob Oakman honed his skills as a musician, studio engineer, and radio talent. He made his mark on a national level as a voice talent and producer when he joined the iconic concert promotion team at Bill Young Productions in 1995. Decades later, Bob piloted his own project, Pirate Studio, to the forefront of advertising in the entertainment industry.
Bob’s exposure to voiceover began at WCDK ( K100 ), WUSZ ( USA Radio ), and KRZQ Reno. After only 2 years, he made his big jump to major market radio KKBQ ( 93Q Houston ) as production director and on-air talent.
In 1995 concert promotion icon Bill Young hired Bob. For the next 7 years Bob carved his name into the concert touring and motor events advertising industry becoming the busiest voice and production talent on staff.
Bob opened his own studio in Nashville ( 2003 ), providing audio, video and print for the entertainment industry. Bob’s untraditional approach to audio and video assembly, and his energetic attitude with copy writing and artist branding propelled Pirate Studio to the top of the music advertising industry. The killer pipes and creative savvy has made Bob Oakman one of the most recognizable talents in the business.
